A closed wound suction unit is a post-operative medical device that is used by surgeons to drain excess fluid and air from closed surgical wounds after general, orthopaedic or plastic surgery. It uses negative pressure created by a compressible bellows chamber to continuously draw wound secretions into a graduated collection reservoir.
