England-My World Cup Squad and the Start

With theWorld Cup approaching, I have decided to name my England squad and starting eleven for the World Cup. There will be many shock inclusions and will include players doubtful for the finals.GoalkeepersPo sibly the weakest area in the team with in my view little options and what I consider weak compared to some of the other teams.JOE HART is my first choice at the minute as I think he is currently the best goalkeeper in the Premier League due to his outstanding form for Birmingham City.BEN FOSTER would be my second choice as he is not Manchester Uniteds 1st choice and hardly gets a run in the team. Neverthele s, I think he has enough quality to scrape through to South Africa.ROBERT GREEN is my third choice because at times he can be very inconsistent or he can be fantastic, but I wouldnt take the risk. I still think he should be on the plane to the World Cup though.Other Options-NoneNotable Exclusions-David James and Paul Robinson.Full BacksThis position looks up for grabs with many competing players, but I have chosen my four with a few shocks.GLEN JOHNSON is po sibly the best full back in the Premier League and has been one of Liverpools best players in a shocking season. He could become one of the best defenders in the World after this, despite many setbacks in the past, most notably John Collins Jersey his Chelsea career.STEPHEN WARNOCK would be my choice to be the player on the other flank. He adds an extra dimension going forward and is as good while defending .I believe that he is under-rated ands this tournament should give him the recognition he deserves.JOLEON LESCOTT isnt a natural full back, but I think he would add more there than at centre back. He would be in my team instead of Warnock if it wasnt for many unimpre sive performances and moneybags Manchester City.LEIGHTON BAINES is my final choice at full back. He is finally proving himself at Everton, despite many doubters. He is reproducing the magnificent form from his Wigan days.Other Options-Kieran GibbsNotable Exclusions-Ashley Cole, Wayne Bride and Gary NevilleCentre BacksA strong position in the squad, in which I feel has many good players competing for a place in the starting eleven. Likewise to the full backs, it Onyeka Okongwu Jersey provides many shocks.RIO FERDINAND has to be included in the squad as captain. Depite getting older, he is still a fantastic player and will hopefully by as a good a leader as he is a player.GARY CAHILL is my surprise choice for the second centre back spot. Despite being a Bolton fan, he deserves a space in the team due to excellent fom and for practically single handedly helping Bolton to escape relegation. He is destined for bigger things and for what I believe to be Ferdinands succe sor.PHIL JAGIELKA should get the final centre back spot. He has impre sed many since joining Everton from Sheffield United and was one of the best players from last season. Injurys have plagued him so far this season, but he should make it into the squad.Other Options-Curtis Davies, Matthew Upson and Michael TurnerNotable Exlusions-John Terry, Wes Brown and Ledley KingWingersPo sibly the best position in the squad and definitely the toughest to choose from. This season has given more players a chance to get on the plane in this Danilo Gallinari Jersey position.JAMES MILNER has been the revelation of the season. Everyone knew he had the quality beforehand, but this season he has exploded. He has gone from a surprise inclusion to definite inclusion throughout the season. Like Cahill, he could move to a bigger club this summer with an impre sive tournement.ASHLEY YOUNG is my second choice winger. A fantastic but majorly under-rated player, he could shine at the World Cup. Him and Milner prove deadly together at Aston Villa and this will hopefully be the same for England.JOE COLE deserves to be in the squad. Despite injury setbacks and not playing regularly at Chelsea, he proves his cla s for England and I would certainly put him in the squad. This place in the team is almost guaranteed and with a good run in the Chelsea team, he could be in the starting eleven.DAVID BECKHAM if just for the experiance. Beckham would be a great leader inside the camp, but despite good form at Milan, he isnt as good as he used to be. Neverthele s, a place in the squad is guaranteed.Other Options-Aaron Lennon and Matty TaylorNotable Exclusions-Stuart Downing and Shaun Wright PhillipsDefensive, Central and Attacking MidfieldersThis place(s) will be key to Englands chances and will break teams or provide this for opponents.STEVEN GERRAD Rajon Rondo Jersey is my first choice for central midfield. He is undoubtedly one of the key men for England and will hopefully improve for at the World Cup due to a di sapointing season at Liverpool.GARETH BARRY is my second and final choice for central midfield. Despite many critics this season at Manchester City, I feel he deserves a place in the team. He allows Gerrard to break forward and is ideal to help stop teams from breaking forward.OWEN HARGREAVES is my choice for defensive midfield. The Manchester United midfielder has been plagued by inuries during his spell there but would be great like Beckham for experiance and for his efforts last time out.THEO WALCOTT is my choice for attacking midfield. He is great for the squad to to his versitilaty as he is able to play as a winger and a striker as well as an attacking midfielder. After Zagrebs heroics, he put himself into the squad.Other Options-Lee Cattermole and Jack Rodwell (Defensive) and Tom Huddlestone (Central)Notable Exclusions-Michael Carrick, Jermaine Jenas and Frank Lampard (all Central)StrikersThe match winners now and always the most talked up, Capello as many choices here in what seems to be a tough choice.WAYNE ROONEY has to be in this. He is the squads best player and has revelled at United without Ronaldo. He will probably be the difference between glory and exit. He will be among the contenders for the Golden Boot and is eager to impre s after and eventful tounrement at 2006.JERMAINE DEFOE is my second choice striker. He is having a fantastic season at Tottenham and deserves a place in the line up. But things arent as simple as that as him and Rooney are of a too similar nature and this could cause problems between the two. This leads to my other contender for a place in the line up.PETER CROUCH is the other striker who deserves to be in the line up. Despite Defoe taking all the credit, Crouch has been great at Tottenham with many flick ons and build up play have led to many goals. Different in play to Rooney and Defoe, he could be an excellent choice.DARREN BENT is my forth choice striker. He is Bogdan Bogdanovic Jersey having a fantastic season at Sunderland and his amongst the top scorers. My only doubt is his inability to play at the top after struggling at Tottenham and with a few but unimpre sive appearances for England.MICHAEL OWEN if not just for the experiance like Beckham. He is a proven striker and it would be a lo s if he was not to appear at the World Cup. He
