When Liverpool announced the signing of Romastriker Fabio Borini last week, the attention of English football almost immediately turned to Liverpools record signing, Andy Carroll. Alan Pardew has since stated that the opportunity of bringing Carroll back to Newcastle is all in the hands of Newcastle United chairman Mike Ashley and the Liverpool FC board.
